Vintage style weddings are very popular nowadays, and we are always looking for inspiration. This vintage style wedding has a 1920 theme, and tables are named with the most iconic people of that period: Gatsby and Daisy, from the novel “The Great Gatsby”, Charlie Chaplin and Charles Lindbergh, the one who made the first solo nonstop flight across the Atlantic Ocean on May 20-21, 1927.
The proposal was on bride’s 40th birthday in Cornwall, and the wedding process of this particular wedding took about 6 months, although, the bride says, “not in earnest until about 3 months before. Lots of lovely wedding blogs, Pinterest, and the knot magazine”, with a budget of about 15K.
The wedding took place in Stoke Newington Town Hall, for the ceremony, and at “The Roost“, a 4 floors Victorian Pub in Dalston, for the reception.
The details and decors were 1920s DIY inspired, “the tables favor like mini whiskey bottles and floral arrangements in vintage decanters tied the 1920s theme together”, said the Bride.
About the dress and accessories, the dress was by Vionnet (bought on On Net-a-porter.com), the shoes by Comptoir des Cotonniers, and Earrings by Alexis Bittar. About the Groom, suit and shoes by Paul Smith, and Toddler’s suit by Next.
The flowers were from Nursery Fresh, and the bouquet was tossed by the window…
