This Islington Town Hall Wedding story is about many things. It is about the heart of London, with the reception at the Artisan of Clerkenwell Pub. Moreover, it’s about one of the most iconic Town Hall of East London, the Islington Town Hall. Therefore,
I joined the bride and her close family at the St. Paul’s Hotel on 10 Godliman Street, London. It was a relaxed morning, the bride was already getting her hair done by Kasia Fortuna, a very well known hairdresser in the wedding field.
In the meantime, I took a few photos of some details (almost as much important as the key moment of the wedding… almost). For her wedding, the bride chose Jimmy Choo wedding shoes. The style of this wedding shoes’ model was actually was modern and fit really well with the style of the wedding.
By the time the bride was getting ready in a room of the hotel, the groom and his best men were getting ready in another room of the same hotel, the St. Paul’s Hotel on 10 Godliman Street. Their room was of course much smaller of the bride’s room. There were fewer people but of course, there were much fewer things to do.
Anyway, being the groom and the best men preparation room, it was incredibly tidy and everyone was relaxed.
After a visit to the groom’s room, we are back to the bride. The morning preparation is going very well, there is of course always time for a toast. The father of the bride is really proud.
The hairdresser is almost done, and, as can be seen, the bride opted for a beautiful wedding tiara.
After wearing the wedding dress, the only things left were the make-up and the veil.
…this Islington Town Hall wedding Story is going very well so far…
Finally, we are almost done. The bride is wearing her wedding earrings.
As we can see, getting ready is done. A big stepping stone in every wedding day, but the tension is not over, is actually getting worse as the ceremony is coming very fast!
Here we are, finally arrived at the ceremony venue.
Not to mention, the very famous Islington Town Hall corridor. The portrait photos of the bride in this corridor is a must indeed.
Anyway, times flies you know, and during a wedding day, it flies even more quickly. The time for the bridal portrait is quite short, not more than two minutes, and then is time to go.
On the left, the two best men outside the Council Chamber room waiting for us. This is the moment when they see us, and first of all, the bride. On the right, of course, the bride waving at them.
The groom and all the wedding guests are waiting for us in the ceremony room, just behind the doot. The room is the Council Chamber ceremony room of the Islington Town Hall, the most popular and most wanted room of the town hall.
In this little wedding sequence the bride entering the room, and meeting the groom. Of course, this is also the very first time the groom sees the bride.
About the ceremony room, as I said, they got married in the Council Chamber room, the most popular and, of course, the most beautiful ceremony room of the Islington town hall. Wedding photography speaking, it is not very easy to take photos in there due to the very strong prominence of red colour, but we are wedding photographers and we do our best, always.
Following are just a few photos taken during the ceremony, which was less than 30 minutes ceremony, as the very most of the civil wedding ceremony are.
Let’s end this small series of the ceremony wedding photos with a black and white photo of the rings exchanging.
And finally, here we are, husband and wife!
The ceremony is finally over. It’s time to leave the Islington Town Hall with the double-deck wedding bus toward the Artisan of Clerkenwell Pub in the City of London for the wedding reception
Following a few photos of the Artisan of Clerkenwell pub set for the wedding. Of course, the entire pub was closed for a “Private event”, and the bride and groom had for themselves and the wedding guest the whole pub, both the ground and the first floor.
