This Wedding photographer London story is about a “Pub Wedding” in the City of London. In fact, the reception was at the Tokenhouse pub in Moorgate and the ceremony at the beautiful Stoke Newington Town Hall.
As you will see, there are many clues that indicate this as an untraditional wedding. A kind of “low profile” wedding where the couple decided not to follow all the typical wedding “rules”.
First of all, the couple didn’t want the traditional getting ready photos. They decided to begin their wedding day straight away at the pub. They chose the TokenHouse Pub in Moorgate, in the City of London.
Second, the bride and the groom began the wedding day together. They didn’t want to start separate, making the groom not to see the bride.
Third, they met in the morning at the Pub, for a gathering altogether with the wedding guests. It was really nice as they basically were already at the pub, welcoming the guests as they arrived.
Wedding photographer London – Let’s begin!
The first photos as said before are at the Tokenhouse Pub, as we met there in the morning, before going to the ceremony.
In detail, we can see the pub before the reception, as it was not completely ready yet.

The Tokenhouse Pub decor. An old bike at the window.

A corner of the pub.

A detail of the tables and the window. They already put the flowers decor.

Here we can see the lovely flowers the bride and groom decided to go for. They are really beautiful and reflected perfectly the minimalist style of this wedding.

Finally, after a few drinks at the pub, it’s time to go to the ceremony. The bride and groom decided to hire the double-deck wedding bus, as it was more convenient. Also, the City of London on Saturday morning is quite empty and the trip with the bus was quite quick.

The bride before entering the ceremony room, the Council Chamber.

Before the bride and the groom entered the Council Chamber, I took a photo of the room from the point of view of the celebrant. You can admire the famous council chamber with all the guests seated. There are 83 seats.

Again, another photo in colour.

Some moment of relaxing before the ceremony actually begins.

I would say this is the most complete point of view of the Council Chamber at the Stoke Newington Town Hall. You can see the celebrants, the bride and the groom and the wedding guests.

A casual portrait of the bride.

Of course, laughing was the leitmotiv of this wedding.

Finally, they are husband and wife.

then they can leave the ceremony room.
Of course, after the ceremony, it’s time for some confetti photos and the bride and groom portraits. As a matter of fact, the Stoke Newington Town Hall suits very well.

…then, the confetti photo just outside the main door of the Stoke Newington Town Hall.

Of course, now it’s time for a few portraits of the bride and the groom. As a matter of fact, the main entrance of the Stoke Newington Town Hall suits very well for the couples’ portrait and the family photos as well.

Again, the main entrance of Stoke Newington Town Hall.

As I said before, the Stoke Newington Town Hall suits perfectly for the family photos as we.ll.

The lats part of this wedding pohotographer London story is about the reception at the Tokenhouse pub.
